Summary:

Professional artist and teacher focused on watercolors and oil paintings. Signature member of Georgia Watercolor Society with over 14 years painting experience. Accepted into over 60 juried shows. Studied with noted artists, including Mel Stabin, AWS, Betty Carr, Janet Walsh, AWS, Charles Reid, Margaret M. Martin, A.W.S and Tony Couch.  Studied privately with Gail Novak for several years. Also license images for stationery and home décor markets.

Atlanta Artists Center, Juried Member, Served on Board of Directors for four years, Vice President, Programs (2001), Treasurer (2002), Vice President, Membership (2003, 2004), Chairman of the Board (2003,2004). Chosen as "Volunteer of the Year" (2003); led Grady Hospital "Labor of Love" fundraiser generating 40 pieces of donated artwork valued at over $30,000. Built Membership base by more than 33%, (+ over 130 members) as Membership Chair.

Member of American Watercolor Society, Dunwoody Fine Arts Association, Missouri Watercolor Society and Southern Watercolor Society.

Teaching Experience

Have taught at the following schools/organizations: Spruill Center for the Arts, Callaway Gardens, The Art Studio at Sandy Springs, Chastain Arts Center, Atlanta Artists Center, Binders Art Supplies, Vista Gallery, Blue Ridge Mountain Arts Association, Dunwoody Fine Arts Association, Delta, Friends of the Handicapped (with adult handicapped students). Also teach students privately in my studio. Taught at Monet's Garden in Giverny, France with ArtStudy Giverny. Scheduled to teach with Il Chiostro in Tuscany in 2009.

Developed and taught the following programs: Art for "Non-Artists", Landscape Painting in Watercolor, Painting Flowers and Gardens in Watercolor,  Painting from Your Own Travel Photo's in Watercolor, Artists: Developing Your Marketing Strategy, Artists: Making it Happen!, How to Understand Color, keys to Better Painting, Painting from Photographs, Painting Landscapes in Watercolor 2-day workshop, Capturing the Essence of Flowers in Watercolor, Painting from your own Travel Photos!, Art as team building for corporate groups.

Have done numerous live painting demonstrations including The Southeastern Flower Show at the Georgia World Congress Center, Piedmont Park Conservancy, Chivas Regal and also as a paid representative of Savoir Faire art supplies.
